CommPartners Completes Significant VoIP Network Expansion
CommPartners, an IP-based network operator and telephony services and solutions provider, today announced the expansion of its Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network coverage area to include over 92% of the calling public in the domestic U.S., including Hawaii. With today's announcement, CommPartners will offer the broadest IP-based network coverage to deliver residential, SMB and enterprise hosted VoIP services with over 5,000 rate centers in the domestic U.S.
CommPartners, which provides wholesale VoIP services and applications to over 50 service providers in the U.S., said that its footprint is now comprised of its own IP network and extended coverage through partnership with other carriers. >>>

Internet Telephony and the Next Great Branding War
Branding wars are fun. Think Coke-Pepsi, FedEx-UPS, Apple-Microsoft, even Wreden-Trout. Now, another great branding war is about to break out.
The battleground will be Internet telephony. The advantages of Internet telephony, technically known as Voice over IP (VoIP), are well-known. Calls are much cheaper. Even calls across continents often cost less than a local call. Telephone numbers are portable worldwide.
